Current website notice. AWEU provides editorial gift guides and a lightweight Gift Finder. It does not currently provide accounts, recipient profiles, contact import, checkout or retailer tracking links.

Current website

When you visit AWEU, technical data needed to deliver and protect the website may be processed, such as IP address, request information, device/browser information and security signals. AWEU does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Gift Finder

The Gift Finder runs entirely in your browser using a fixed catalogue of editorial gift concepts. The recipient, interest and budget choices you make are not submitted to AWEU, stored in an account or used to create a personal profile.

Why technical data is processed

Technical website data is processed where necessary to provide a secure and reliable website and to prevent abuse. AWEU aims to minimise this processing and does not use the current website to sell personal data.

Service providers and retention

The website uses infrastructure providers to host, deliver and secure the site. Those providers may process technical data on AWEU's behalf or under their own applicable terms. Technical logs are retained only according to provider configuration and operational or security needs. This notice will be updated if analytics, advertising cookies or additional processors are introduced.

Future personalized product

A more advanced AWEU product is being designed around data minimisation, transparency and user control. It may allow a user to deliberately add recipient information such as relationship, birthday, interests, preferences, budget and gift history. Contact import is intended to be optional. Before any such functionality launches, AWEU will provide fuller information about controller details, purposes, legal bases, retention, processors, international transfers and user rights.

Affiliate and retailer links

AWEU does not currently present live affiliate or retailer tracking links. Future versions may use referral links. If introduced, applicable commercial relationships will be disclosed and this notice will explain relevant click or attribution processing.

Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable law, individuals may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
